In a valley to the south of Argeles Gazost this hostel is currently active, and will produce an immediate income. It is open all the year around, and can take up to 33 people in bedrooms and dormitories, and has a kitchen, laundry rooms and communal dining room.

This building, constructed in 1997, has, on the ground floor, an entrance hall, off which, to the left, you find the communal living room with a superb fireplace, and to the right of the entrance hall you find the dining room, which opens on to a terrace with wooden tables. There is also a wc on this level.

The kitchen is also on this floor, and is compliant with all hygiene and safety standards, and from which meals for 33 people can easily be prepared. It is equipped with all facilities refrigerators, oven, hobs etc, and are set up so that the hostel could be run so that the guests prepare their own meals, or so that the proprietors can offer half board. The current owners have made their mark with local culinary delights.

Off the kitchen, you find a storage room, a laundry room with washing machines, dryers, etc, a room with a professional dishwasher, and an office.

A staircase takes you to the first floor hallway, off which are 2 dormitories, one for 5 guests, and the other for 6 guests. There are also 4 bedrooms for 4 guests each, and 2 bedrooms for 3 guests each. Each bedroom or dormitory have a shower room and wash hand basin and wc.

The roof is natural slate, the construction is traditional and sound, the walls are breezeblock. There is a new oil fired boiler for the heating, and the windows are wood framed and double glazed. Drainage is into the mains via a septic tank.

This hostel is in a wooded and peaceful area, and sits in grounds of about 4,300m², with easily accessible parking space (cleared of snow in the winter) for about 15 vehicles.

It is close to all the renowned sites of the Hautes Pyrenees and to the Parc National des Pyrenees, and to the ski stations, for winter and summer walking in the mountains, and for horse trekking, all in association with Mountain organisations.

The property is situated close to all shops, banks and schools, 30 minutes from Lourdes, 1 hour from Tarbes (TGV, motorway), 1hr 15mins from Pau (Ryanair, Transavia, Air France), 1hour from Spain, and less from the lower ski slopes, 1hr 15mins from Toulouse (Easyjet, Flybe, Aer Lingus), 2hrs 15mins from Biarritz and the Atlantic beach resorts, and 3 hours from the Mediterranean.
