ABJA KNIGHT MANOR COMPLEX WITH AN ANCIENT PARK Private ownerships of 10502:001:0031 and 10502:001:0030. Total area of the manor house is 1500 m2 and it has 25 rooms. Electricity of 150 A, a cabling from a new substation is underground. The manor is a two-storied baroque mansion with two and a half storied historicist extensions which has been constructed later. Interior rooms are located in enfilade style. Some of the rooms are renovated. The building structures are strong, the roof is decent, a lot of original doors, including the main door. Outbuildings: -Stable is a building with exterior stone walls with 10 powerful arcs and partly stone partly wooden interior walls. It is possible to build a second floor to it with dormers. The second stable has been demolished which makes it possible to construct a new building instead of it (which is similar to the previous stable). -The smithy was built in the late 19th century. It has quarrystone walls with red brick detailing. -The complex also contains underground cellars and two outbuildings that have been constructed in 20th century. The 3,7 ha park that was created in 1800 by Johann Friedrich Semich has preserved a lot of majestic trees and a playful diverse landscape with a winding creek. Some of the trees in the park are about 300 years old. There is over a three kilometer alley of broadleaved trees starting from manor gate. The first written evidence of Abja manor date back to 8th of May in 1582 when Polish king Stephan Batory returned the manor to Wilhem von Rosen. The current manor buildings, that are located on the edge of the picturesque Old Valley of Halliste, were built in 1780 by the representative of a famous family, i.e. Friedrich Adolph Stackelberg. The manor has been visited by the Russian czarina Katariina II who allegedly liked the surroundings very much. Due to its private location and yet an excellent road links (asphalt til the heart of the manor) Abja knight manor is a great place to invest for business or to create your own countryside manor for your family.
