The former boiler house of medical spa hotel „Tervis“, which is located in the beach area of Pärnu, is one of the best and one of the most significant samples of the Soviet industrial architecture in Estonia, created by the architect Jüri Okas. The building is partly connected to the household wing of medical spa hotel „Tervis“; the University of Tartu Pärnu College is located nearby, right across the Ringi street. There is a former boiler house and a fuel storage depot (renovated into a modern gas boiler house) located on the real estate grounds of Ringi 56. The object of sale on offer is a plot of land with a boiler house (ca 2400 m²) which will be formed by the division of the real estate. The former boiler house is a two-storied building. The walls of the building are made of bricks and reinforced concrete; indoor ceilings are made of monolith concrete, and the roof ceiling of reinforced concrete panels. The powerful accent of the building is the 45-meter-high brick chimney. The building has been without activity for ten years with satisfactory conditions on weight constructions. The building is preserved with its original ground plan. On the 1st floor there are former boiler room (577 m², height 8m) and non-work rooms; on the 2nd floor there is the balcony of the boiler room (260 m²) and utility rooms. Since the building is under the national protection and listed in the “Estonian 20th Century Valuable Architecture”, the relevant terms must be taken into consideration while renovating and changing the application of the building. The owner of the real estate has initiated the detailed plan for division of the real estate and for changing the intended purpose. The settlement for the detailed plan will be made taking into consideration the interests and requests of the potential purchaser.
