Underneath the foundation, there is a 1.5m-thick layer of gravel compacted with a 12ton roller. Its density was measured and approved by the Estonian institute of roads. The outer and inner bearing walls are built with Columbia-kivi 240 concrete poured brick with vertical and horizontal steel rebar reinforcement. The inner walls dividing rooms are constructed of solid Columbia-kivi 90 and Fibo bricks. The building has a strong thermal insulation. Thickness of layers: facade – 150mm, roof – 500mm, foundation – 100mm PS of high density, installed in horizontal and vertical planes. THE ROOF The roof embodies a multi-layered concrete construction, composed of 3 layers.The lower, - load-bearing layer, consists of reinforced concrete panels and solid poured concrete, middle layer contains thermal isolation material and a thinner top layer is again a solid poured concrete, covered with a quality membrane material – Protan.Such construction of the roof allows to use it as a terrace, place there technical equipment or even build a light building. UNDERFLOOR HEATING Wirsbo PEX tubing was laid in 100mm steps to provide a uniform heat distribution over the floors. All feeding pipelines from and to manifolds are thermally insulated. High density polystyrol -Styrofoam 250 was installed under all floors.Floors have reinforced steel mesh and poured with concrete with steel fibers. COMMUNICATION LINES Copper CAT6 (1000MB) and optical lines. THE FIREPLACE At the first floor, between the large living room and relaxation room, there is a high quality in-wall double-sided fireplace Spartherm. Weighting 350kg and making an impressive 14-kw of heat power, this fireplace can be opened from either side, but it is more practical and easy to service it from the relaxation room, where is an own exit to the yard and floor laid with ceramic tiles. Therefore the sparks, wood chips and ashes never get into the living room. REEF AQUARIUM There is a magnificent 2900 x 1000 x 800mm in-wall reef aquarium, inspired by the best European private aquariums and built by a renowned contractor. The reef tank, resting on its own 1m thick concrete foundation is made from a high quality white 20mm glass. The aquarium is supplied with the professional equipment, kept in service room, having its individual ventilation. The tank is automated and requires only a minimal care, mainly fish feeding once or twice a day, and glass cleaning once in a week or two. DEDICATED HOME THEATER ROOMA 31m2 dedicated home theater room was designed to achieve a commercial cinema performance at a private house. The windowless room with a ceiling of a complex shape was engineered to provide near ideal listening and viewing environment. The professional theatrical sound insulation solution – Ecophon was supplied and installed onto the walls and room top by a big cinema contractor. There is a 10m2 and 400mm deep niche under the concrete floor where the subwoofer and frontal speakers are located, filled with Keramzit – a granular clay material for additional sound insulation and prevention of sound dispersion through the constructive elements of the building. This highly comfortable home cinema room with custom furniture and professional equipment offers an extraordinary watching, listening and relaxation environment any time of day.
