How is the service delivered to my mobile phone?

The real estate description is primarily being sent to your mobile phone as a WAP Push message, alternative as an SMS depending on the make and model of your mobile phone. When opened and selected it'll automatically direct you to a mobile internet page in your mobile phones webbrowser. The page contains all the information you are need about your selected real estate object.

Why isn't this available as an MMS?

SMS (WAP Push) is both cheaper and more reliable then using MMS, also enabling extended functionality in form of interactivity, web navigation and more information. For example, within a mobile internet page, similar to the ordinary web, you not only have more pictures but can also choose and enhance them. And of course a mobile internet page with real estate descriptions is always up to date with the newest information.

If I order a mobile real estate description to my mobile phone, what do I get?

The information being sent is of course specific for the object you yourself have chosen, it contains adress, descriptions, pictures, phonenumbers etc. Everything you need directly in your pocket!

Why do I have to state what kind of mobile phone I have?

There are some mobile phone models which currently doesn't support WAP Push, for those we instead sent out a message as an ordinary SMS but with another type of weblink. Also, every mobile phone is different. By choosing model you enable us to adapt and optimize the content giving you a functionable and appealing experince. As it should be.

In what format should I write my mobile phone number in the popup?

First of all, select mobile phone make and model. Secondly, choose what country you are from (the place where your mobile phone subscription is registrered). At last, all you have to do is to write your number normally without countrycode.

How many real estate descriptions can I order?

Currently this is limited to protect you from unauthorized usage and spamming. If you find yourself receiving an error message (see I've received an error message, what does that mean?) and feel you have been using the service normally. Please contact us.

Error message 1: Your IP address has exceeded the limit of messages ordered within a given timeperiod.

The IP adress pointing to your computer have been used sending out mobile real estate descriptions in great numbers, exceeding the maximum allowed limit.

There's a limit for how many times each real estate object can be sent to the same mobile phone number, this has been exceeded for your number.

What is a WAP Push message?

WAP Push is a SMS within the header of which is included a link to a WAP address. On receiving a WAP Push, the compatible mobile handset automatically gives the user the option to access the content via Mobile Internet on his handset. The WAP Push directs the end-user to a Mobile Internet address where content is stored ready for viewing or downloading onto the handset.

Can I forward a mobile real estate description?

Yes. But it requires you go back to the webpage, www.city24.ee. Type the number of your friend/family and send it to them. All usage is being logged and abuse is prohibited.

My mobile phone isn't listed, what do I do?

At the bottom of the list there's a header saying "Don't know", use this. Now you don't have to choose model and a message will be sent to you using WAP Push. There's no guarantee this will work, but feel free to try.

I've received a message but I can't open it. How do I do?

Probably your mobile phone doesn't have correct operator settings for mobile internet/WAP, go to "operator settings" and download them. Otherwise, it could be so that your mobile phone doesn't support mobile internet, you can see more information about your phone under "My Mobile".

Probably your mobile phone doesn't have the correct operator settings for mobile internet/WAP, go to "operator settings" and download new ones from your operator.

Does it cost anything to use the service?

The only thing being charged is normal fees from your operator for using mobile internet. The cost is dependent on your operator, for more information about this, visit your operators home page or contact them directly. Normally, the cost for viewing one mobile real estate description doesn't exceed 0,10 euro.

What is required from me to be able to use the service?

You need to have a mobile phone with a web browser supporting WAP 2.0 and xHTML. Also you need correct operator settings for mobile internet/WAP. If you need further instructions, consult the manual of your mobile phone or/and contact your operator. Simplified, every mobile phone newer than two years with colour screen supports the service.

Do I need to have a mobile phone with 3G?

No. GSM/GPRS works just as well. The important thing is that your mobile phone supports WAP 2.0/xHTML and have the correct operator settings. The difference is only the speed.

I have a mobile phone with WLAN. Can I use that?

Yes. The service works regardless of what method is being used to connect to the mobile internet.

Can I use the service outside of Estonia?

Yes. As long as you can connect to the mobile internet the service works the same way.Keep in mind that your operator might charge you a higher fee when being abroad for connecting to mobile internet. Contact your operator for details about this.
